Precis article 1

In the article “ The Effect of Racism and Racial Discrimination on Minority Business Development: The Case of Black Manufactures in Chicago’s Ethnic Beauty Aids Industry” Robert Mark Silverman intends to show that the business strategies of black manufactures in Chicago’s ethnic beauty aids industry have been shaped by racism and racial discrimination in mainstream society from the industry’s inception to the contemporary period. He does this by stating facts about the past in the 1990s. His intended audience is young students so they grow up knowing that they don’t have to be racist like a portion of the United States.
