In his article “ Network News and Racial Beliefs: Exploring the Connection Between National Television News Exposure and Stereotypical Perceptions of African Americans”, Travis L. Dixon attempts to show that there are two major conclusions to the studies that have been dedicated to investigations of race and crime imagery featured on local television news programs. He does this by using statistics to help support his argument. He discusses the different stereotypes that are used on public television to help the producers with their movies. His intended audience is readers who have the same problem that he does with the racial stereotypical nonsense.
