chapter four precis

In the book "Good Reasoning" in chapter four, Lester Faigley and Jack Selzer clearly state that the thesis can make or break you paper due to the fact of it being a well written paper that is not to broad for any audience that may be possibly reading it.  According to these two writers, finding a topic for your argument can be a hard part in the process of writing a paper depending if the writer is focused, open to the reader's perspective, and keeping his own interests in mind.  Their purpose is to show students how to properly construct a paper for it to be a strong well written argument for the intended readers.  the audience they are trying to reach is young writers who are beginning to write such as late high school or early college.
