In the article "Mortality and Management of 96 Shark Attacks and Development of a Shark Bite Severity Scoring System" by Lawrence Lotfenberg and five others, they go into detail about the attacks and harm that sharks bring as well as scoring the injury on a scale so that they understand the injury so they can be treated much carefully as well as at a faster pace. They help support their article by giving statistics on injuries that have occurred in the past based on the scale level and of how bad the injury was. They are writing this article in order to give people another view of how injuries from a shark attack are rated. The intended audience of this article is anyone who does not have much knowledge about shark attacks.
